Tax Credit Deadline, coming on fast...
Well, here we are.. Today marks that you have less than 7 full weeks to get your new home under contract if you are planning to get the $8,000 from Uncle Sam.. I know 7 weeks sounds like a lot of time, but the home buying process can be a fickle friend, and there are several "hiccups" that could occur along the way. Most of those "hiccups" are fixable, but they take several days, so if you happen to get one or two of those, you could all of the sudden see yourself flirting dangerously close to the possibility of you NOT getting your $8,000. Another thing to keep in mind is that many people are doing the same thing you are, waiting... We are beginning to hear that lenders and underwriters are going to be getting bogged down with the last minute rush and that, with a huge rush at the end, some deals may not be able to close on time. My suggestion, get the ball rolling now and even if we have to move the close date back, we can do that, just get under contract!!
